The brief
Every commission starts with a short brief: your quantity, paper finish, wording and any reference you would like us to work from, such as a venue, a monogram or a photograph. It takes a few minutes on the Matchboxes page, and it is saved before you pay.
The artwork and the proof
The artwork is drawn by hand in our London studio for your commission. You then receive a digital proof. Revisions are unlimited, and nothing is printed until you have seen the proof and approved it.
Paper and production
Matchboxes are made on G.F Smith paper: Matte or Gloss at 300 gsm, or a textured Premium Paper at 400 gsm. If you would like to feel the papers first, the Sample Folio is posted for £35, and the £35 comes off your first commission.
Delivery, customs and the price
Commissions are dispatched from London with tracked delivery by DHL, UPS or FedEx. Delivery and standard customs clearance charges are included in the package price, so there is nothing more to pay at checkout or on arrival.
