Custom matchboxes for weddings, celebrations and brands, drawn by hand in our London studio. Send your own design or a few words and the studio draws it for you. A digital proof comes first; nothing is printed until you approve it.

How it works

You add this to your basket and pay securely by card on Stripe’s page, where your delivery address is asked. Card details are never stored by us.
The studio draws your artwork and sends a digital proof by email.
You ask for changes until it is right. Nothing is printed before your approval.
Most commissions are ready in around three weeks from approval. Your production and dispatch window is confirmed before work begins; delivery dates are estimates.
Your parcel is sent with tracking by DHL, UPS or FedEx.

If your date is closer than that, choose it under Delivery above, or tell us your date. Same-day delivery within London can sometimes be arranged.

Delivery and returns

The price includes the personalised artwork, a digital proof with unlimited revisions, production and delivery. We send worldwide from London with tracking by DHL, UPS or FedEx. In the UK the parcel is delivered to your door, with no separate postage and no VAT charged. Outside the UK, any customs duties or import taxes are paid by the recipient.

Because each piece is made for you alone, personalised orders cannot usually be returned. That does not affect your legal rights if a piece arrives faulty, damaged or different from the artwork you approved: write to info@laldie.com with a photograph and we will put it right. A cancellation may be possible before artwork or production has begun. Artwork drawn by the studio remains the studio’s unless a transfer is agreed in writing.

What exactly do I receive?

Matchboxes of about 55 × 36 mm, filled with natural wooden matches and a striker on the box, printed on G.F Smith paper. Your artwork and a digital proof, with revisions, are included.

Are personalised matchboxes the same as personalised matches?

Yes. Personalised matches, wedding matches and custom matchboxes all describe the same piece here: a small box of wooden matches with your own drawing on the cover.

How many should we order?

Twenty-five is the smallest order. Most celebrations settle between one hundred and one hundred and fifty, roughly one box for each guest with a few kept back for the table and the photographs.

Can I send my own drawing or a reference?

Yes. Add your names, date and ideas in the story box and attach a JPG, PNG or WEBP reference up to 5 MB. For existing artwork, we check its suitability for print with you.

Do you send outside the United Kingdom?

Yes, we deliver worldwide. Delivery is included, with tracking from DHL, UPS or FedEx. In the UK the price is delivered to your door; elsewhere any customs duties or import taxes are paid by the recipient.
